What it is

WiiM is the source and control layer: high-fidelity wireless streaming that feeds your amplification and speakers, working with the streaming services you already pay for.

Who it suits

Almost everyone. WiiM is usually the least expensive part of a good system and the part you touch every single day, which is a reason to get it right rather than to economise on it.

It is also the easiest place to start. A WiiM into an amplifier you already own, feeding speakers you already own, is often the cheapest meaningful upgrade available to a household — and it is a foundation you build on rather than replace.

How it fits

WiiM is the source. Denon or Marantz is the engine. Polk or Monitor Audio are the speakers. See how the stack works.

What an install involves

1. What you already have — we start by asking what amplification and speakers are in the house, because often the answer is that you need less than you thought.
2. Network check — streaming is only as good as the wifi carrying it. This is where most streaming disappointments actually come from.
3. Installation and setup — connected, named sensibly, and linked to your streaming accounts.
4. Handover — the app set up on the phones of everyone in the house who will use it, not just yours.

Will it work with my existing amplifier?
Very likely. Tell us what you have and we will confirm before you buy anything.

Which streaming services?
Tell us which you use and we will give you a straight answer rather than a maybe.

Do I need one per room?
Depends how the rooms are amplified. Sometimes yes, sometimes one source feeding a multi-room amplifier is better. We will work it out with you.

My streaming keeps dropping. Is that the streamer?
Usually it is the network. We check that first, because replacing the streamer will not fix a wifi problem.
