Business & Offices

Know who is in the building, and stop re-keying every time someone leaves.

Access control, CCTV, alarms, intercom and networking for offices, business premises, body corporates and landlords. Installed anywhere in South Africa.

The problem

Keys are the weak point in most business premises. Every departure is a re-key or a risk you decide to live with. Contractors hold keys long after the job. Nobody can say for certain who was in the building on a Saturday. And the camera system, if there is one, was installed by whoever was cheapest and points mostly at the sky.

What we install

  • Access control — tags, codes or fingerprints instead of keys. Remove a leaver in seconds, restrict cleaners to certain days, and pull a report of after-hours entries. This is usually where a business should start.
  • CCTV and surveillance — cameras positioned for real coverage, recording on site with remote viewing, motion alerts and full-colour footage at night.
  • Alarms and sensors — perimeter and interior detection linked to an app, so you know about it before somebody phones you.
  • Intercom and visitor management — reception sees and speaks to a visitor and releases the door without leaving the desk. Useful the moment you have more than one entrance.
  • Networking and connectivity — the wifi and cabling all of the above depends on. Doing this properly first is what stops the rest becoming unreliable.

How it works

  1. Site walkthrough — we walk the premises with you, look at every door and every blind spot, and ask what has actually gone wrong before.
  2. Design — what goes where, what it needs in cabling and power, and which doors must stay fail-safe for escape.
  3. Written quote — phased if you would rather start with the entrance and the yard and expand later.
  4. Installation — done around your operating hours where we can, so you are not closed for it.
  5. Handover and support — your office manager is trained on the day-to-day: adding people, removing them, pulling a report, finding footage. Phone and WhatsApp support during business hours, Monday to Friday.

What happens if it fails?

  • Power failure and load-shedding. Battery backup on controllers and recorders. Escape-route doors are specified fail-safe so they release and nobody is locked in.
  • Network down. Readers work from their stored user list and recorders keep recording locally. You lose remote access and live reporting, not the system.
  • Mechanical override retained for the people who should have it.
  • Low-battery and drive-health warnings before something goes quiet on you.

Common questions

What happens in a power failure?
Battery backup keeps things running, and doors on escape routes release. We size the backup to how long you actually need to ride out.

Can we keep our existing doors?
Usually. It depends on the door and frame. We establish that on the walkthrough, before quoting.

How many users does it support?
Depends what is specified. Give us your headcount and expected growth and we will size it with headroom.

Can we pull a report of after-hours entries?
Yes — by door, by person or by time range.

What about fire regulations and emergency egress?
Escape routes must let people out without a key or special knowledge. We specify fail-safe hardware there and will work with your fire consultant or building inspector so it passes at sign-off.

Can you work around our operating hours?
Generally yes. Tell us your constraints at the walkthrough and we will build the phasing around them.

Landlords and body corporates

If you manage a building rather than occupy one, talk to us about common areas, parking and boom access, and per-unit access that survives tenant turnover without a re-key each time.

Book a site walkthrough

Commercial work needs a visit — a web form cannot see your doors. Tell us roughly how many doors and how many people, and we will arrange a walkthrough.
